Infertility
Starting a family can be one of the most exciting life experiences, yet for some it can be a devastating and disappointing experience. If coupled with infertility treatment and/or other family building considerations, the experience can disrupt life plans and strain relationships.
Infertility can be one of the most stressful events in a person’s life and can stir up a host of emotional responses, such as shock, anger, grief, depression, guilt and feelings of helplessness or dispair. These emotional responses are not unique to women, as men may also experience significant emotional distress during this time. Many live through this in silence and isolation.
